  14.         Reality Software is a small company whose husband and wife 
  15. team is devoted to the publication of two product lines.
  16.  
  17.        We publish quality E-Books for DOS and Windows in 
  18. ancient/medieval history and the history of religion. These books 
  19. represent original, scholarly research and are designed for 
  20. thinking adults. They are an attempt at original synthesis from the 
  21. literature and some of the writing is at journal level. They are 
  22. definitely not school-oriented software nor New Age fluff.

  24.       Reality Software also publishes a large series of Windows 
  25. image collections/media albums and screen savers that feature a) 
  26. historical transportation photography and b) original 
  27. computer art whose themes are mythic and visionary. Each image
  28. is royalty free in the registered versions of this software.

  30.        All Windows E-Books come with Replica, an application 
  31. independent viewing system that bypasses the need for a word 
  32. processor. Replica is easily installed into WIN 3.1 or WFW 3.11 
  33. and can then be used to view and print the electronic books. Full 
  34. instructions are included and the software is very user friendly.

  38. E-Books are available with a superb document viewing interface 
  39. for DOS (BigText) that in the latest version (1.3) incorporates 
  40. graphics to produce illustrated electronic books. We offer a

  45.         Seven publications in our series of Windows screen savers 
  46. featuring archival transportation photography have been released. 
  47. Two volumes feature images scanned from our private collection 
  48. of 19th century locomotives. The other publications feature images 
  49. of tall ships, classic sail boats, early bicycles and early
  50. trolleys. The photos are quite rare and in most cases are single 
  51. prints made by early photographers and collectors. With a handful 
  52. of exceptions, none have ever been published before in any medium 
  53. and then only many decades ago at very low resolution. Each photo 
  54. has been meticulously restored to repair negative and print damages 
  55. while maintaining the historical integrity of the image. Each 
  56. graphics files in v1.0 of these publications is 8 bit, 256 grey
  57. scale, TIFF. Each graphics file in v1.2 of these
  58. publications is 24 bit and royalty free to registered users.

  60.         Four volumes in our Windows screen saver series of original 
  61. visionary art have been released. 1) Fifteen original computer 
  62. paintings explore the theme of Mythic Bears. 2) Fifteen original 
  63. computer paintings explore the Epiphanies of the Neolithic 
  64. Goddess.  3) Fifteen original computer paintings developed with 
  65. fractals express images of Cosmic Creation. 4) Fifteen original 
  66. computer paintings explore relationships with Sacred Animals.       
  67. The shareware versions of each screen saver contain four 
  68. images, the registered versions fifteen. There is no duplication 
  69. among the collections and each graphics file in version 1.0 of
  70. these publications is 8 bit, 256 color and PCX.  Each graphics
  71. file in v1.2 of these publications is 24 bit, 16 million color,
  72. and royalty free to registered users. At a cost of $1 or less per 
  73. image, such a license is a bargain. Stock photography agencies 
  74. typically charge $100 or more per image for commercial licenses.

  76.         Interactive Week for Feb.13, 1995 (Vol.2(3): 29) has a report 
  77. about Bill Gate's latest venture. Having dominated the OS and 
  78. software worlds through MicroSoft, Gate's has set his sights upon 
  79. a new on-line service (to be bundled with Windows 95) and, of 
  80. immediate concern to the graphics design and multimedia 
  81. industries, a major expansion of his little known company called 
  82. Now Corbis. Now Corbis holds an enormous library of stock 
  83. photos with plans to triple its inventory in the near future. Corbis 
  84. intends to sell one time licenses for each image and employs five 
  85. intellectual property lawyers to write contracts with clients. I quote 
  86. Mark Daniel, manager of sales. "We have not been selling 
  87. an image for less than $100, and we also have sold an image 
  88. up to $5,000. Normally, they [one-time reproduction licenses] 
  89. are $200 to $400 an image."

  91.        Realize, that if you are a graphics designer or multimedia 
  92. developer, this is the playing field now and for the foreseeable 
  93. future. While Reality Software can only develop image collections 
  94. built around specialized themes, if you can use our products, we 
  95. offer the most inexpensive license in the industry: $1 per image for 
  96. a lifetime royalty free license. And you will not have to talk to a 
  97. lawyer. We wish to share our knowledge and creativity with you at 
  98. the lowest cost possible.

  102. often produce a nearly invisible repair of the problems caused by 
  103. such damages as water or ink stains, and rips or tears in prints or 
  104. negatives. We can also restore an appropriate contrast level and 
  105. resolution to seriously faded images. If the image does not exist 
  106. as computer media, we will scan it for you before beginning 
  107. restoration.

  112.         1) Explore the Origins of Mythology with  hunter-gatherers in 
  113. the Upper Paleolithic and Indians in the Amazon. Available in an

  124. hypotheses are presented about iconography and metaphor which 
  125. are drawn from realms as diverse as evolutionary biology and the
